National Picnic Month!

Did you know July is National Picnic Month?

This is a very easy one to celebrate! If you don’t own a basket or a blanket that can be used for picnicking, they are available at any grocery store. The rest is up to your preferences! The only requirement is that it needs to be transportable and not something that needs to be heated up. I do recommend the typical arrangement of sandwiches and fruit, but ultimately it’s up to your preferences. A cooler is also not necessary, but I recommend one if you prefer your drinks cold-the summer heat will turn them at least lukewarm during your travel to your picnic destination. If you live somewhere particularly hot, be sure to bring something to keep you cool, like a small portable fan. Likewise, if you live somewhere that tends to have mosquitos, bring bug spray. While the usual scent of bug spray is the opposite of appetizing, there are options that either smell good or don’t smell at all. So! Invite a loved one, pack whatever your preferred picnic foods and drinks are, and find somewhere nice outside to celebrate National Picnic Month!
